Amsberry's Painting

Hector and his crew were great! They did an amazing job painting our house. They communicated with us everyday and left their work area spotless at the end of the day. I would highly recommend Amsberry's Painting and will definitely give them my business when it is time to paint the inside of our house.

I don’t write reviews. But Amsberry outwitted me. Paint crew was excellent. Communication and follow through bad beyond my capability to understand.nnSadly I did not keep a record of specific dates. My memory is the house was painted in June. Repairs were part of the project. Repair finally happened August 7, 2020. Crew scheduled 7:30AM August 17, 2020. No show. I called for information / status — about 9:15. Jeff called back at 9:31 to confirm I would be near the phone for an hour — he was confirming a crew was en route for final touch up. I am writing this at 11:15 — apparently I am applying a faulty definition of an hour.nnBe warned. The question — is a good paint job worth the aggravation?

Excellent paint job, friendly and professional crew. We have referred them to others. Communication could be better about schedules(perhaps COVID related) which made my husband frustrated when we were waiting for them to arrive most of a day. Impressed they do an inspection after.

We had the exterior of our house painted. Long story short, the painting crew did a great job and we're happy with the work they did, but the office staff left something to be desired on scheduling, communication, and organization. We almost canceled the job and went with someone else before the work even started because we were concerned by how disorganized they were. I don't think we would use them again and can't recommend them.nnLonger story: we called them and had someone out at our house a couple of days later to look around and provide a quote. I received the quote via email and it said to call their office with any questions. There was a number for their office in the signature line of the email so I called it. The number went to a former employee who said it was his personal number and he no longer worked there. I looked up the number online and called them to update the quote and let them know we wanted to have their carpenter come out to look at quote the replacement of some siding.nnThey called us one afternoon and said they could have the power washing team out the next morning. I told them I wanted to wait until we had a quote from the carpenter before starting the job. I also told them we hadn't received any instructions for pressure washing prep or payment. They said they had a wrong email address on file, which was strange since I received their first quote.nnWe didn't hear anything for at least a week. We called them and let them know we were waiting on them to have the carpenter come out. I got the number for the carpenter so I could schedule a time for him to drop by. He told me about how long it would take him to do the work and set up a time to come back and make the repairs.nnLate in the afternoon on the same day he made the repairs, the office called us and said they could schedule painting the next morning. We were very confused and let them know they hadn't pressure washed the house yet. We asked to set up a date and time for pressure washing and learned they still had the incorrect email on file.nnWe asked them if they could give us more than 12 hours notice when they scheduled pressure washing but the next time they called us it was the same thing, they called us in the late afternoon to have someone come out the next morning.nnThe same exact thing happened for the painting. We thought they were pranking us each time they called with such little notice.nnThe painters were overall professional and hardworking and, fortunately, they had more attention to detail than the office staff.nnSadly, after this experience, I don't think we would use Amsberry's Painting again or recommend it. A job as big as this one is an investment and communication, organization, and scheduling are not things we should have had to worry about or take the lead on correcting. I mentioned this to the office staff when I stopped by to pay and they mentioned they are aware of it and working on it. I hope they're able to figure it out. The painting turned out great but getting there was a headache.
