Made a key for a 1975 Volvo 164e. It’s a very specific base key (wasn’t even in the log book) and he didn’t have any in stock, and his automatic machine wouldn’t cut the key anyway. So, he called a buddy of his nearby (he had driven up to N Everett) and got the base key, and HAND CUT a key using tools and files and and the tire of his van as a placeholder. It worked perfectly! Absolutely brilliant and a craft that likely isn’t common! If you have a rare old car, this could be your man. He was also very kind and I appreciate his help. Found him via AAA.
I have a KIA and usually the dealer is the only one that can make a new key fob for my vehicle as it requires special programming. I found Astro and they had the parts and the tools to make me a new key fob.nnI was in and out with a new fob in 30 minutes and for about a third of what the dealer quoted. Nice people, good service. I will use them again in a heartbeat.
Friendly, quick service. However they didn't wear masks while serving me
I called them to see if they could cut keys which many places nowadays only do mobile service. Since it was motorcycle keys, the gentleman that answered the phone wanted me to take a pic of the keys to see if they have the blanks in stock. He called right back and said they did, and I rode my motorcycle in, handed him both keys and was done in less than 5 minutes. Excellent customer service! Anyone that I know that lives locally, I will not hesitate to recommend!
Experienced locksmith, ud83dudd11 was able to cut a key to lock box in 10 min from blank without original. However they seemed to be constrained by types of blank keys they had in stock. Ended up taking to another locksmith for remainder of lock boxes.
