I went to Hick Finn Jubilee last year. The new owners are a young couple passionate about bringing bluegrass music to southern California. The staff was authentic and informative, you could tell they love what they're doing. The music was refeshing to hear & a beautiful venue. Family friendly and super chill.

Such an amazing time! Great music and great friends! Great fun for the whole family and camping in the park was definitely a highlight. Unbelievable weekend!!

I suppose it's nice to have a music festival where people can bring the whole family to a pretty park setting, but for those of us who remember Huck Finn as a bluegrass festival, this was rather disappointing: very little bluegrass/ folk music.nnThe host talked about keeping the event affordable, but $70.00 for Saturday's festivities seemed a bit steep compared to, say, Vista's Summergrass Bluegrass festival where the Saturday fee was only $35.00.nnThe fee that I felt was excessively high (read: a rip-off) was the $20.00 day-of -festival general parking cost. Not only was the lot rather hard to access, but it was all dirt, poorly lit, and filled with rocks and weeds. And no shuttle service, something they provide for free at the Summergrass festival where the much-closer parking costs only $5.00! Even the $15.00 pre-festival fee is excessive for this sorry excuse for a parking lot.

I couldn't ask for a nicer bunch of people. Love, love the bluegrass! Very much all about family. Listen to music, dance, games for kids, workshops, etc, etc. Look forward to this every year and wouldn't miss it. I have NEVER had a staff member even appear to be rude. This is a great time for all!!!

If you love bluegrass this is not the place to be. They had some good groups but set times were short and they did not schedule them as main events. They bought the name but that is the only thing that is the same. Minus one star if that was a choice.
