Not as easy to find as I thought. Thankfully the man who lives at the bottom of the hill came and re-directed us! The Cairns that mark the trail are helpful, but stay going straught up rather than around the front(road) side of the mountain. There is a tight squeeze about 1/4 of the way up the mountain, from that point up the cairns will lead you straight to the top. The flat part at the very top is where they are. The man who live there said there are 13. Most are marked with chalk circles.

We found the directions that we got from the tourist centre to be almost useless. The “old dirt road” they describe is just a single trail at this point. If you get on a paved or gravel road you’ve gone the wrong way. Walk straight through the sagebrush to the bottom of the cliff and then head left until you see the trail heading up. Once you are on that trail you can basically follow any trail at all to get to the top. We tried to follow the cairns as best as possible. The tracks themselves are marked with cairns. One appears to have been filled with chalk.

Beautiful place! Went hiking right by here. But when you are driving up the mountains, keep in mind that your car might be struggling. But it was a beautiful hike anyways and well worth it!

More fun than I should have. Was up there during sunset, and we did find some tracks.

Great quick hike, now well marked with cairns along the trail. Step by step instructions as follows. I do recommend trying to follow the course drawn on the photograph uploaded by another poster. 1. Park at the Porta potty, 2. Go around the new cement barrier to get to a pretty clear trail. Follow this around toward the start of the hill. 3. The best traveled footpath will split. To the right you will see a tall pole in the ground near a rock slide. You can climb up these for a short cut or continue straight through an overgrown footpath that will lead to an easier area to climb. 4. When you reach the higher level, follow it along to the right side of the hill. There may be other ways to go up but this one was well traveled, marked with cairns, and fairly easy to ascend. This trail will continue upward and a little behind the hill. Continue to follow the cairns and you should reach the summit shortly. 5. There are a number of tracks at the top. Super cool. Some are much more obvious than others. Photos I included show what appear to be an adult and juvenile, or adult and a smaller scavenger. The big one everyone photographs is a little further from the edge. The way down is certainly trickier, but the way I recommended, and taking the longer route, make it easier than some other options.
