Mario's Italian Cafe

Delicious pepperoni and jalapeno pizza. My beer was served in a frosty cold mug. Courtney was so sweet and gave us excellent service. There was also a young man who seated us and brought me my beer and he couldn't have been nicer. It was such a lovely outdoor lunch with my husband. Our masks were off while we were eating!

First visit. We found food disappointing. Outside seating was a view of supermarket car park. Service was good. Maybe we ordered the wrong items. Our friends love it and go often

Mario's has several locations, this relates to the La Quinta location only, located in the Ralph's shopping center on Jefferson.nnMario's is an Italian restaurant with a number of locations in the valley. It has a wide variety of items, all of them served in generous portion both for dine-in and for take-out. They claim to have the largest $5 glass of wine in the valley and I have to believe them, it is large and it is drinkable, but you won't write home about it.nnThe food is overall pretty good. The Pasta is not overdone, and the sauce (or gravy if you are from New Jersey) is passable good. The portion is adequate to end hunger in a small country. I really don't understand it, but the serving of bread with the dinner is pretty small, and they charge you for extra. It seems inconsistent with the portion size. I get portion control, this just seems the wrong place for it-my opinion.nnWe have tried several things, and they all were good. The Sand Doobs were good. The Pasta and Clams was good. The pizza was good. The ingredients on the pizza were fresh and plentiful. I am not a huge fan of the crust, I thought it was a bit chewy, pretty much a personal thing. It is as good as any pizza we have had in the valley.nnThe dining room is a good size. For Covid-time they can really space out, which is good. To that point, they do have a covered patio, and they have set up swamp coolers to provide additional cooling, a real plus in the valley.nnThey do provide take out so this is a good place to pick up a pizza on a Friday.

Had a Marios Mediterranean Greek pizza: fantastic! Delicious combination of flavors, mild zing from pepperoncini, not-thin-not-quite-deep dish crust, chewy. Highly recommended!
