I definitely recommend this place. It's cheaper than most other spots and the dude is super quick and helpful. Plus he'll usually give you a $10 discount.
Very very thorough. Very thorough testing. Incredibly thorough testing down to cables and hoses within the engine bay. Abnormally thorough. Exceptionally thorough with checking each and every component within the vehicle. Did I mention it was incredibly thorough? Not a bad place at all. Just expect an outstandingly thorough inspection into every single nut, bolt, wire, and hose that has to do with smog. Take that as you may. If you have ANYTHING at all that is out of compliance no matter how minor or trivial, they will find it.
Apparently you cannot pass a smog check with your check engine light on. I did not know this and Smog Center did a test anyways. When your car fails a smog check it must be fixed through smog maintenance mechanics and cannot go through a regular mechanic. This costs more money and then you have to get another smog test. I do not understand why smog center tested my car when the check engine light was on if it were to automatically fail, making it more difficult and cost more money.
This place is always fast and friendly. Highly recommended!
What can I say? The gentleman was very nice and quick. I did not pass but he printed out the part I need. I'll try it out and be back for my free retest.
