Amazing wine tasting experience. Matt was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. As soon as we showed up he was nothing but awesome. From the knowledge he shared to his personal experiences, it really made the tasting experience memorable. The wines at Handwritten are among the best I’ve tasted in the valley as a visitor and the venue is beautiful and intimate. We were able to enjoy our time here without any rush or feeling of having to get in and get out. Highly recommend. PS, the 2011 Pinot Noir is amazing. Enjoy!

Immediately after walking in to the courtyard, we were assisted and made to feel welcome, despite having no reservation. Matt served us our tasting menu and was the best server we have had the pleasure of having in recent experience. He was very down to earth and well spoken in each of his descriptions, which provided an extremely comfortable environment for two novice wine drinkers. His serving abilities were just perfect.nnAlthough, I do wish a more intimate and personal experience was available. I would have preferred an environment in which our server was able to sit down and enjoy the wine with us while explaining the intricacies of its origins. Still, 5 stars all around.

Handwritten is one of Napa Valley's gems! Red wines and great service by Matt and the Blue Couple (Becky and Dan). The tasting experience is very well-thought out and the ambiance of the tasting room is comfortable and feels like home! We especially appreciate Matt--he took the time to explain to my brother and me the importance of various nuances of wine tasting. My family looks forward to coming back, especially since we are wine members. Also, if you are visiting Napa Valley, you should also go to their sister winery/tasting room--Jessup Cellars :)

The place is looking very nice and stylish, the attention provided is amazing and the wine is delicious. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem

Delicious small lot production wines from many well known regions on Napa Valley hillsides. Wonderful cabernet sauvignon choices! Fine indoor as well as outdoor patio tasting areas. The staff was very hospitable. Bill the tasting room manager was very educational, polite and a joy to meet overall. There were many pieces of art and furniture for purchase as well. A two hour tasting experience well spent. My husband and I will definitely be back! We hope to bring friends or family with us next time.
