Greeted right away, helped me find exactly what I was looking for and quickly. Checkout was also quick and smooth. Good job Big 5

We checked online multiple times to confirm the store’s hours, as I visited this location the previous evening at 7:41 only to find that they were closed. The store front is covered in no less than 12-16 signs all detailing mask requirements, reduced occupancy of 19 customers due social distancing per state mandates, etc, but not one sign that detailed the store’s hours. We returned to the store the following morning at 9:30am, because their hours stated online they opened at 9:00am. I was waiting in a parking lot with other customers I presumed until about 9:45am when a small silver SUV whipped into the parking lot with the driver puffing copious amounts of vape smoke out his window, while blasting the top 40 on his car radio. He rolled out the car in basketball shorts and a t-shirt to unlock the door and gate into the store. He was followed in by 3 other people that were waiting in the parking lot that I thought were customers, but were employees. The employees filing into the store only 2 were wearing masks upon entering.  They locked the door behind themselves upon entering. At this point those people remaining in the parking lot were customers. There were 3 other cars beside the employee’s vehicles and my own. We waited about 10 minutes for the employees to re-emerge from the store to allow customers in the store. They opened the store a little after 10, to which a male employee stated, “that the store’s hours were updated online, but they haven’t gone into effect yet”.  Mind you, on Google it says the hours were updated 2 weeks ago. The store had a decent sale going and they offer a military discount. We overheard another customer purchasing items and inquiring with the saleswoman at the cash register.  Ultimately, the experience may have been better if the store had waited to update their online info until it was actually in effect and followed their own guidelines posted on the door for mask wearing.

Ive been procrastinating this but id like to set a complaint on one of your managers, i believe her name is megan. She has a nasty demeanor about herself and it made my experience at Big 5 not so great. She really needs to improve her customer service skills before shes allowed on the floor and im actually impressed that shes a manager. All of your other employees have a really great attitude and are superb to work with!

I had a great experience with the staff and rgeir willingness 2 help. Big shout out 2 Colton who went above and beyond to help with my need for good supporting shoes
