Friendly staff. Lovely facility
Best day ever...as it says on the front of the Masjid...it realy was my best day. I love the khatiib, he is realistic and funny some times. If i come back to LA, that will be my dest. For khutbah.
It is a very fine and somewhat civilized place.. However, the experience that I was subjected to the past few days, proved to me that Islam was a frequent topic of Muslims over there but it is not practiced After all. I am heartbroken about the behavior of the Imam and of some other members of the Signal Hill Islamic community. I felt the racism that exist at that mosque. That community is forgetting Bilal the black slave who was tortured but never recanted his faith in Islam .
The US is a good example of diversity in nationalities and races. It is a must to respect those differences to avoid hurting feelings. I hope Imams do not mention names of countries or political points of view. The focus must be in guiding those who come to pray with pure values of Islam and its teachings and remind them to do good deeds. Allah said: “O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).” I hope this is taken seriously and play a good role. Make people want to come to this masjid not the opposite.
