This is a great campground even though I haven't camped there, but it's very close to the city and has plenty of shades, and the creek is just next by, a convenient place to access to Millard Fall and other trails. It's not reservable, get there very early to ensure a camping spot, especially on the weekend or hot summer.

Waterfalls and plenty of flowing streams due to the recent rain. Beautiful hiking trails, scenic puts you in touch with nature. Just past the campsite the popular & busy trail is to the right. We took the trail to the left side & loved it. It has a smaller waterfall but a more strenuous & challenging hiking trail. The dog loved it too.

This is my favorite local trailhead. I usually park in the upper lot, but there is a lower one as well. My favorite thing about this trail is that you can visit time and time again and find new paths or discover something new. I love coming right after a rain when the river is a little stronger and all the plants are a little greener. This trail is great for running, and there are often bikers here as well. It's also dog friendly which is a plus!
