The nicest, cleanest and most well organized Goodwill! Nicer items, also.nCurrently the bathrooms and dressing rooms are closed, so plan accordingly.nThe donation station opens at 1, and there was a line of cars right through the parking lot, so don't plan on donation unless you can wait a while.

This store is always clean, well organized, and has a great selection of items to choose from. It's very rare that I do shop here but was recently in that part of town so I stopped in. The issue I have is that I find the staff here lacking in customer service skills and are sometimes downright rude. Unlike the 38th Street Goodwill which I prefer to frequent more often, this store will not wrap your fragile items for safe transporting (they certainly don't offer) and don't even handle them carefully. I made purchases before and had to watch closely as items that I had inspected before purchase were damaged after they had handled them. For this reason I typically don't shop here. I always bring my own bags, which I know I must pack myself and have no issue with that; however, I've been asked if I need a bag when I clearly have one present and waiting to be filled and then I'm asked if I need to purchase it.....why would I pay for something that came in with me....and then I'm asked where I got it. I'm almost tempted to tell them I stole it while they were asking their inane questions. That's only a small sampling of some of the absurd conversations I've had with staff...there's much more that keeps me from shopping this particular location. The 38th Street store has far better management and staff and is always a friendly store that consistently goes the extra mile for their customers. Not so for the 6th Avenue location which could certainly learn valued customer service skills from their 38th Street location. As a lifelong Tacoma resident I'm aware that the North End has traditionally been the more uppity side of town and this is very evident when one chooses to shop that part of the city, even when thrifting.
