I love Torrid, don’t get me wrong. I will continue to be an avid shopper - just only online. Ever since Danielle became assistant manager there, going in the store has been a hostile experience. She snaps/barks at customers and is so rude. I have waited months to post something about this because I had hoped there would be some change, but after going in with family today and having her humiliate me (for the umteenth time) in front of them, I was done. I’m happy to spend money on Torrid online, but I’m not sure I will be returning to shop in this store. And the sad thing is I told a couple friends about this who shop there and they each also said they hate going in now because she is just so harsh and rude that they put off going in and just shop online too. The main manager is amazing, but as long as Danielle is there, I think I’m done.

As a curvy woman it's nice to find a store that has a variety of contemporary style that suits my needs. Torrid is one of those places. The staff here was very helpful & friendly.

I have to drive an hour to get to this store, and to go in and have one of the women (Danielle) working there be the “mask Police” she said “you have to wear a mask” she didn’t ask if I had a medical condition that wouldn’t allow me to, she just demanded. I told her I had one, so I put my mask “made from fabric that I can wear” and she acted like she wanted to argue because my mask wasn’t “good enough”. She kept trying to intimidate me by staring me down, and discussing it with other employees. I didn’t buy anything and I will avoid that store at all costs, she made my shopping experience highly uncomfortable. I spend a lot of money at Torrid every singe year, and I’ve been with torrid 4 years, I have and maintain VIP status. If this doesn’t change, I will be taking my business to other plus size stores like Maurice’s, where they don’t harass because of the fabric my mask is made of. There should be accommodation for people who medically can’t wear a mask. Most people will still shop at stores that don’t demand a mask, and demanding one is making people not want to even go there.
