My mother worked at the bowling alley from the time it opened till she retired Until she retired at 70. Her name was Maxine McDonald. She actually started working Pickwicke pool in 1946 when we pulled a trailer from the light Wisconsin and lived in the first spot number one until 1952. (I was 4 years old.) During that time my father worked in the hamburger stand on weekends and mother was in the front as a cashier. She was a head cashier until the pool closed. At the age of 13 I worked in the hamburger stand and the ice cream Stand summers until I graduated from high school. Summer only. At this time I was making $.50 an hour. I was allowed to spend half of what I made for school clothes and the other half I saved. I had the time of my life there, imagine all the grass area to play in and swim any time the thee pool was open. I took Swimming lessons and I could swim over. There was a big wooden structure in the center with a high dive board and a low one. I could go on for ever. I love this place! It's clean, has good food (greasy spoon style) and has good beer. The jukebox has every song ever made so I can inflict the music of my distant youth on the other patrons! The staff is nice. There's lot's of families and it's safe for kids. It's great!

The bowling league is fun here. All the balls roll to the left. They aren't true to roll. I am fat. Fat people know how to bowl.

Where else can you get Budweiser's shaped like Bowling pins, bowl and listen to hip hop? Even the bowling shoes don't seem gross. A fun option for something new to do in the city.

Super fun place! Standard bowling alley with drinks and food. They have cool disco lights at night so you kind of feel like you're in a club. They have a large parking lot outside too which is nice.
