Hawthorne is my home base airport. It is not the closest airport to my residence by any means but I chose to base my aircraft at HHO because of the amazing service they provide, their unbeatable fuel prices and the staff that I have now come to consider family.nnIf you are a pilot coming to Los Angeles, selecting Hawthorne and parking at HHO will be without a doubt worth your while.nnTo address some of the reviews I’ve read (and this is a genuine review written in my own words by someone who has visited their FBO weekly for 2 years now), HHO does not provide “helicopter experiences,” they do not control arrivals and departures to the airport nor do they operate any flights to my knowledge (at least not flights originating in the wee hours of the morning). This is a fixed base operator alternative on the field that serves as a parking and services ramp for incoming/outgoing pilots and is a family of knowledgeable and accommodating individuals looking to provide the best personalized experience to pilots compared to the corporate treatment you would receive at a larger place.
Phenomenal customer service (thanks Matt, Andre, and Amy!), beautiful facility, and the best prices on the field! Reasonable overnight rates, no ramp fee for day use (single engine piston - not sure about larger aircraft). They also have overnight hangar space available, meeting rooms, pilot lounge... and new developments in the works.nnHIGHLY Recommended!
This place is awesome! Andre really took care of us and our stay in LA. I'd highly recommend you use HHR for your trip; they're inexpensive, their service is excellent, and their people are friendly! We really enjoyed our experience with them
HHO is convenient and provided very good service. No ramp fees for day parking (the alternative Jet Center charges $30 for a single engine piston, last time I checked), and reasonable fuel prices. HHO will be my regular FBO to use from now on when visiting KHHR.
Fantastic facility and service!!!! The staff at HHO are amazing. They have a super accommodating and spotless facility. The staff are amazing and they treat you terrific regardless of what you flew in with. If you fly into Hawthorne airport (KHHR), HHO is the only place you should even think about going to. Such a better experience than Jet Center.
