Nothing has changed like in 50 years

It is known as the Monument to the City that captured the Sun, and represents precisely a cardon with the sun in the center. It consists of four pillars and different versions of their meaning, some say they are the four cardinal points and others the four municipalities of Baja California until that moment of its construction, which were Mexicali, Tijuana, Ensenada and Tecate.

In this part of the civic center the national holidays are held, very good place to teach the children something ... or to simply sit on the grass under the shade of a good tree.

Very nice square.nAnd even more important is the Mexicali resistance movement that since January 2017 still maintains its fight.
