Their system on how to treat pregnant patients is awful. Dare I say inhumane. I went in and was checked in. I told them I was pregnant so they sent me to labor and delivery for fetal monitoring. Then the clock resets to zero to go back to the ER for my original complaint. I waited 4 hours in horrible pain due to what may have been an abscess and was then told that there were still 11 people ahead of me...after waiting 4 hours. So that means I would be waiting an additional 4 hours? Yes, let’s go ahead and create policies that make it triple as hard and take twice as long for expecting mothers. Horrible place. I still don’t know what’s wrong with me and it could be an abscess which happens to be very dangerous if it bursts especially if pregnant which would make the whole point of your fetal monitoring null and void.nnI suggest the hospital makes changes that better accommodate pregnant women that treats their needs as just as important as their babies and others that enter the hospital.
