We've used Maine a couple of times in the past. We recently needed some electrical work done and didn't hesitate to call Maine again. After speaking on the phone with Scott about some questions and concerns we had, Scott sent Chase to our home to do the work. Chase was friendly, professional, efficient and made certain he answered all of our questions. Scott and Chase have earned our trust for future electrical jobs. Leave electrical work to the professionals. We'll always call Maine for piece of mind and work we can trust. Thanks Chase and Scott, we appreciate your exceptional service

I chose Maine Electric because they have a reputation for excellence in their field. I found their phone number in the Valley Yellow Pages.nI recommend Maine with the highest level of confidence because they helped me in a highly stressful situation with a problem which I had no idea how to solve. In the process of working on my house, they demonstrated the highest level of competency, excellence, and integrity. Through conversations with the workers and staff, I discovered that the owner of this company, Scott Mamola, pays his workers well. Their salaries are such that they can buy their own homes and support their families. This company also carries workers compensation, sick pay, and vacation pay. This is my idea of a socially responsible business and right livelihood. Not only did I receive excellence in the quality of work, but in the process, I supported a small business with all the right values.nOn an early morning in February 2020, the electrical power line which connects to my house caught on the recycling truck as it came down the street on which I live. This happened because PG&E was not in compliance and the line was hanging too low. When the line caught on that recycling truck, it lit up the truck like fireworks. If it were not for the fast thinking of a neighbor, the driver might have died. The power line now broken in two and live, went swinging into my neighbor's yard. Fortunately, my neighbor jumped out of the way in time. In this process all of the physical structures attached to my house which bring electricity on to the property, were torn off the house and strewn across my front yard; the weathervane went down and the wires going into the electrical box were stripped.nIn my first phone conversation with the licensed journeyman electrician, he asked all the right questions and knew how to sequence those questions in such a way that I, who knew nothing about large electrical projects, could answer. Although I felt like a stressed-out idiot, I was treated with respect and patience. This helped me calm down and focus on the problem.nAnd so it was with every different set of workers and project that needed to be addressed, I watched as they did their job in a timely manner. They came onto my property, introduced themselves, told me what they were going to do and then did it. I observed that they knew exactly what to do and how to do it. As the project continued, I could let go of some of my fear and stress because I knew that I was in good hands. Rather than the experience that many women have of being taken advantage of by some disreputable contractor, I felt my load was lighter in this difficult situation because of the professionalism that Maine demonstrated.nOh, and did I say that they pulled all the necessary permits from the City of Oakland? They did, and this was an immense relief to me. It may very well have taken me days or weeks to get through the red tape of getting the right permit at the right time. When it came time for the inspection, Maine’s foreman was on my property when the City Inspector arrived to walk through the permit process, show the work and answer questions. However, PG&E did not come for 7 days to connect my power line! But Maine was smart enough to connect my house to a friendly neighbor’s line!nThe story ends with the tale of Karen, the Operations Manager at Maine. This excellent woman must have spent half of her working days for 5 to 6 days convincing a lackadaisical manager at PG&E to send a crew out to my house to attach the power line. And, she succeeded! Karen really knows how to get things done, even with PG&E!nSo now you have read my story of woe and intrigue. And, you have also read how much easier this tough situation was because of the contractor I chose. I chose Maine because of their reputation for excellence. That choice made all the difference in the work done and probably lowered my blood pressure in the process. Thank you, Maine Electric!

We had a great experience with Maine Electric. They were very professional from start to finish. After dealing with a few other companies that either wouldn’t return our call or couldn’t get our issue resolved we were referred to Maine Electric. They were able to get someone out in a timely manner, diagnose and get the job scheduled. The whole process was easy, as it should be! Thank you Maine Electric. Definitely calling you for future electrical or plumbing needs.
