Dixie Montessori Academy

Superior education, friendly and patient teachers/staff. We transferred our 9 year old to Dixie Montessori after he had been in multiple fights/incidents at the local public school. He is now on his 2nd year here and he has not had to worry about getting into trouble because he is actually learning. He is now being challenged daily to learn, succeed, and grow as an individual and is not just another number in the system.

❤️ Top notch educators and faculty!! ❤️ Our children have attended DMA since opening in 2014. Every year has been amazing. So much attention, care, and dedication from the entire staff given to our children. We NEVER received this kind of treatment from our local public schools. We WISHED (more than ever) the school went through all the grades K-12. The saddest day is when our children move on to another school once completing their 7th grade year. The Montessori method of learning is how all children should be taught. It saved our children from the 'assembly line' method of learning. Not a doubt in my mind they'd be 'left behind' in a public school environment. The number of students to teacher & assistant ratio here is much different from public schools. Smaller classroom sizes means so much more one-on-one teaching. A lot of hands on learning, real world examples used, and so much more!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this learning method at DIXIE MONTESSORI ACADEMY for children who are more like the visual/hands-on learning style. The teacher's are PHENOMENAL when it comes to communicating with you as parents and your child's education! Very open and welcoming atmosphere. Teachers and staff very motivating and highly encouraged participation from families during school hours and with after-school activities. One main core value taught from the time the school open their doors, having peace, promoting the peaceful atmosphere for all to learn. We as my family cannot thank the Teachers and Staff enough for all of the years of devotion given to our children!! ❤️ Thank you so much Dixie Montessori academy, we love you!! ❤️

My kids started at Dixie Montessori this year and I’ve already saw a huge growth in both of my children. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this school!

This is hands down the BEST school in Washington County! After sending our children to other schools in the county and having negative outcomes, we decided to try DMA. I wish this school had opened sooner, our children never would have gone anywhere else. This school is fairly new to the area, it's just now wrapping up it's 5th year being open. We like that the teachers, administration, and staff treat us as partners in our children's education, and love our children unconditionally; that our children can work at their own pace, and accelerate where their strengths are and take more time with the areas they struggle. We love the hands on materials that capture our children's imagination, and make them hungry to learn more. We especially love how the curriculum includes teaching our children to be responsible. Our family is very pleased with the changes and activities our children were able to participate in this year. The school has an International Day activity, which allows for the children to learn about different cultures on different continents. Our children were so excited to tell us about the many things they learned about the world. The school opened a brand new library this year. The children put on a wonderful assembly to honor our veterans. During the holiday season, the school hosted an activity to celebrate reading. There were several fun field trips our children were able to participate in, family movie and game nights. We definitely had fun attending the school's track and field day. The school also provides child care for children after school for working families. Our family is very excited about the upcoming changes and programs being offered for the 2018/2019 school year. The school will be starting a school breakfast and lunch program. (Definitely a relief for those days running late.) The school is also going to be adding to their curriculum Spanish as a Foreign language for all the students in the school. I also heard something about two teachers being designated to teach students who are English Language Learners. Bottom line: This school is truly amazing. The people employed at this school go above and beyond to make sure our children are receiving the best education around. Our children love going to school each day, and we are so happy we enrolled them.
