It is VERY authentic Kyoto style, high-end Burma Superstar. Yes, the portion size is small, but each dish is meant to be savored, not to fill your belly (go to Marugame Udon for that!). Yes it's pricey, but it's no more expensive than an authentic tempura restaurant in Ginza. I went out as a date night with my wife & we thoroughly enjoyed the food and the experience. If you want to impress your date, or if you don't want to fly to Japan for an authentic meal, come here! The service was wonderful and the place is staffed with Kyoto people. I recommend it if you want to have a special date night.
This restaurant is worth all of the hype! I haven't been back in years, and went last night, and everything was just perfect. The service is great, the front desk girl with blue hair was sweet, and every dish was just perfect. The chili garlic shrimp was my favorite, I've never had anything here that wasn't over and beyond expectations. I wish I lived closer so I could come more often! Thank you again for providing such delicious food!

Amazing Burmese food. That braised lamb curry is the best, and they also have the best coconut rice ever made. Everything else is great too.
