This is a very new facility! The water park is outdoors and has many slides and 2 big ones. It is very fun. They are only open during the summer. There is an outdoor pool connected to the water park.nnThere is also an indoor pool open year round. It is heated and very warm! I come here with my son often.
Be aware if you want to go to the recreational swimming pool, even if you don't plan to go swimming with your children you’ll need to pay $6 (+ taxes) to get in. Another fun fact of this place was the lifesaver, she was watching the phone and fully dressed (including tennis shoes) didn't seem like she will notice if someone will in trouble. Not going back!
This water park is very nice. There is a good selection of water-slides and a great kiddie area for the little ones. I do not think there is a lazy river though. Maybe there is, I just didn't see it.
This review is regarding lap swim in the indoor pool at The Wave.nnIf you are an adult, wishing to swim laps in a serious, uninterrupted and safe manner, steer clear of this pool.nI was impressed at first glance by the facility itself, and the guidelines on their website regarding lane sharing and swim etiquette seemed really serious and well organized. This is all a complete falsehood. The swim lanes are complete chaos, unregulated by the apathetic teenagers who act as life guards, and plagued by more teenagers who just loiter near the edges, obstructing the actual swimmers. Most people just pick a random lane, ignoring the speed designations, and most people swim either in the middle, or on whichever side of the lane they damn well please. It is a collision waiting to happen and so you have to be tremendously vigilant while you swim, which results in any serious lap swimming being impossible.nnThe facilities are nice, but the layout of the bathrooms are not conducive at all. The locker rooms are all of the kind you have to pay for, and they are outside of the bathrooms, on the main hall where everyone hangs out. The showers are filthy, smelly, with actual mold in the curtains. The changing area is completely opposite and far away from the shower room, and the shower room only has one small bench at the end that people have to fight over to hold their belongings while their shower. Everything is new, but not cared for, and this management will run this place to the ground if they continue to care for it in such a way.nnFinally, there was a workman inside the bathroom this morning when I came in. When I asked him to leave because I needed to change, he told me I could go ahead but he had to stay and work. Completely unacceptable. When I asked if he would be there long, because I had to shower, he said I could shower but he would be there. This feels completely unsafe, and I simply have a hard time believing they can't have workmen make repairs during off-hours, which is what any serious facility would do.nnAll in all, this is a state of the art facility being run like a rural town recreation center. The front desk and the manager are nice but completely inefficient and ineffective. I deeply regret purchasing a pass, because they do not issue refunds.
Beautiful, but just not comfortable for me. I found the natatorium water too cold, the indoor air temperatures too cold, and the sputtering lukewarm showers didn't help with warming up. Left with purple lips and numb fingers. Staff seems to think that their thermostat settings are alright, regardless of visitor comfort. Lockers must be paid for with a card and are either $4 or $8.
