First of all, if I could have left zero stars, believe me, I WOULD have. My 7 year old daughter has been repeatedly harassed and bullied on the school bus by a group of older boys. My daughter is clearly afraid of this situation and I have been calling the school to try to get to the bottom of this. Additionally, I went in person, and during each attempt, I have been ignored and treated as if bullying is not a priority issue.nnIt’s 2018, we all watch the news. We know the effects of bullying on children. We also know the consequences involved with ignoring these issues. This school has repeatedly ignored my daughter’s cries for help and I plan to take this to the District School Board. This kind of issue should have been addressed immediately instead of putting other children in danger of more bullying and depression/mental health issues as a consequence. Hopefully the school will become aware of this and know not to treat this type of situation lightly ever again.
As a Fairfax County transplant I have been thoroughly impressed with Winding Creek. The staff really does go the extra mile for these kids, and their teachers are phenomenal!
