We came for the evening presentation and were rewarded with a Nebula view. Be warned, if you come on a cold day, the telescope is kept at the same temperature as the outdoors, so bring your jacket and scarf and hat, etc. The presentation was informative and interesting. We will be coming back in the summer.

Amazing facility. Incredible that our state parks operates this for the public. Staffed by intelligent people who love to teach.

While the main observatory is closed for upgrades to the telescope, the temporary site at Stonehenge is great. The rangers teaching are wonderful and full of information, even on nights where there’s too much cloud cover. Highly recommend! The views of the Columbia River Gorge and Mt Hood are worth the visit on their own.
