This was my first time conducting business at the Carter Bank and Trust. It has been my experience that most businesses are what their employees exhibit. In this instance, I would have to say that this bank is a great place to trust with the handling of any questions or financial situations. I was fortunate to have the assistance of Mrs. Patricia Bennett, when faced with some very stressful and difficult decisions after the passing of my sister. She was very pleasant, kind and knowledgeable in directing me through a serious of tasks that I was totally unfamiliar with. She went above and beyond what was expected, in that, she stayed to work with me well beyond her working hours to ensure the satisfactory completion of important paperwork. Her demeanor and professionalism, throughout the meeting, helped to calm a very stressful time for me. I can't express enough how grateful I am for Mrs. Bennett's assistance. This bank is blessed to have such a wonderful employee. Thank you Mrs. Bennett.

Good local bank but a bit behind the times. Lifetime free checking, but no internet banking services and idiosyncratic limits on what local branches can do.
