My experience with The Hills has been great! I have lived in Stonegate and Southview. The Southview office and maintenance crew are friendly and helpful and the 24-hour gym located in the office is really nice. As utilities are included, I never have to stress about leaving my lights on and there are no arguments with roommates about this either. My apartment is clean and has a nice layout for hanging out with friends. I'm definitely going to be resigning here in the future.

The maintenance is always so quick with urgent matters, and the staff is always so nice to residents. Living here has been a great experience for the most part and I am looking forward to another year.

Run and don't rent from this place! They came in during one of the breaks to do an inspection and all of a sudden I get a bill for blinds that they replaced in my son's bedroom. My son said the blinds were broken when he moved in to the place. It does not end there. My son moved out and is moving elsewhere this year. (Thank God) We received a bill for 298.00 for the carpet in his room for a large stain. When he moved in to the place, it was there and unfortunately he did not indicate that on the initial paperwork you fill out. I saw the stain myself on move in day. My son's room was left immaculate and he is a very neat person. They are looking for ways to get you so beware!!!nnGave one star only because wouldn't allow me to post with no stars!!!

Southview is a great place to live for students at JMU or any other school nearby. The amenities are great and included in the price while having a great clubhouse to do homework and free printing while also having a nice fitness center. The staff is very helpful too as well as the maintenance department.

Great place to live at a good cost . Not the most helpful when you have parking issues
