Running trail, fishing, easy canoe launch, piers for fishing and dog park. Camper park, outdoor recreation facility and bow range co-located. Great place for a picknick lunch/dinner or photography. Lot of foxes, osprey and other animals. Beavers pass the point every evening at dusk. The park is well maintained and you need a military ID to access the base.
The mild weather brought out an abundance of waterfowl and birds this day. Observed noisy geese being territorial with black birds. Also birds flopped to nest on the frozen part of the pond area. Great scenery in the sun lit day, near the dog park, recreation center and outdoor archery center.
What a lovely place! I just sat in the quiet and stitched.
