We started a relationship with them when I was stationed at Fort Lee. Jennifer Berlin was our Representative she was a great help to myself and my family as well as my NCOs. Thank You Jennifer and thank you First Command!!

I can't remember the name of the woman but I had called for financial help in December 2019. A very close friend committed suicide in October 2019 and I was struggling with the idea of asking for help financially because I was not in the best mindset.nnMaybe I was wrong, but I didn't want to disclose this over the phone. I was a little flaky with the times and scheduling because I was nervous and scared.nnThe woman, who I had many pleasant interactions with in person before chastized me over the phone for about six minutes. That she was busy and needed to see me immediately -- I get it, I was asking for a walk-in and was embarassed about my circumstances. But even without knowing my circumstances, a little bit more tenderness would have been greatly appreciated.nnInstead, I felt rushed, judged and so many other negative feelings that I hope no one else feels when dealing with this institution. My finances are stable now, but I felt the need to address this unprofessionalism.
