I love this park - it's a far enough distance from where I live that it's a nice long walk without being too terribly long. There's lots of well-kept restrooms if you need them as well as convenient parking and multiple soccer fields. Beyond that, it's a great place for bird watching!nnAccess-wise, it's pretty good as well. There are staircases, but you can avoid them if needed. The stairs are also fairly shallow and so aren't terrible to get up and down. Many of the walking paths are some kind of paved, so it is mobility aid friendly. I don't believe the restrooms have automatic doors, though, so that access may be tough.nnOverall this park is lovely. If you want to stay socially distanced, try to go during the mid morning or mid afternoon, as it is a popular workout spot before and after work. (My favorite are mornings, as they're quiet and great for bird spotting!)
Great newer park. Clean restrooms. Really innovative play structures. Lots of paved paths for strolling and grassy hills for watching a soccer game or picnics. There is a parking lot and street parking. It's metered on week days but free on weekends.
This is a very large, well lit park with lots of soccer fields. There are playgrounds as well for smaller kids and sidewalks for pedestrians or runners. This is also a great park for watching the National Mall 4th of July fireworks.
I enjoyed the park's signs because they were rich with information about the natural and human history of the area. I felt like Alice in Wonderland, for better and worse. My mind is active generating entire worlds of ideas about the possibilities for this neighborhood's future!
This is a fantastic park. Spend an hour here and you'll see a train. Also a good spot for plane watching.
