Yahoo Falls Overlook

We did a hike to Yahoo Falls and Yahoo Arch while visiting Big South Fork National River. Yahoo Falls is the highest waterfall in Kentucky and is a short easy hike to see it. To get down the base, however, is a long steep metal staircase. It's a really beautiful area and a number of trails and paths lead all around and behind the waterfall. The trail continues on to Yahoo Arch, about a mile further and in Daniel Boone National Forest. The arch is pretty cool, you can walk under it and the path leads up to the top. Definitely worth a stop if visiting the area.

An absolutely adventurous hike that splits into different trails. My 9 and 11 year old and I spent over 4 hours exploring and having fun today. We didn’t really want to leave even with cold and drizzly conditions. Step inside of life’s adventures. get outside and see what this world has to offer. We definitely will be returning here! We had a great time exploring the archway and the waterfall.

Gorgeous place. Great place to hike no matter your skill level. Clean, calm and quiet.

Nice detour after riding Big Fork South Railway. Not too hard of a hike to see some falls-less than half a mile each direction and not too hilly though some steeper steps at the end to see the falls.

Nice hike, beautiful vistas. Worth the drive.
