Rather than share my experience I will offer the following advice to prospective parents and students: Do not sign a contract or obligate yourself financially until your child has had the opportunity to be in the school for at least a week and you, as a responsible parent, have thoroughly witnessed what happens at the school. Ask yourself if the sales pitch you were given matches reality. Ask yourself if you are going to be willing to finance the school well beyond the tuition contract. Ask yourself if the staff is comprised of people you really want your child to be with eight hours every day. If you are scared and feel that this is the only place in all of Lexington where your child can go to school and this is your very last option, you should probably take one more look around and think long and hard about your child's well-being and what your hopes are for their future.

The school has changed so much in such a positive way! Ever since the new director was hired, the old and laughable teachers who were out of control have been replaced with competent ones. The school was in shambles, but now it actually looks extremely promising for this upcoming school year. Thankfully other parents such as Bobbi Silver, who would complain all the time about the positive changes in the school, are no longer having their kids inrolled in the school, relieving drama and lies that were within the community. I can’t wait to see this school succeed, now that it’s not being held back by such selfish people. #MontessoriHighSchool Graduate 2020!

As a middle school Montessori educator and board member at The Montessori High School I have found the staff to be strong, backed by a capable administrator. A unique educational experience for the self-directed and creative scholar.

The administrator does not understand what Montessori means. The entire teaching staff at the school has overturned. Our child spent 2 years at this school and the first was great. A new administrator was hired for the second year and the school has completely changed. Many days the school did not open at the designated time they said they would open. During this financially challenging year, the school tried to use funds that were contractually obligated to provide trips to students for other uses. The administrator pointed out wealthier students to other students and called their families her angels. She has a complete lack of tact. During a school field trip, a teacher had to leave early from the trip, which the administrator was aware of. The administrator chose not to have another teacher there and when the students walked back to the school by themselves, she decided to leave them at a nearby restaurant and left...all before school dismissal! Then she put all the blame on the teacher. The moment we informed her we were not returning, she deleted us from email communication from the school, even though there were weeks left in the school year. The board is heavily involved in the daily operations of the school. That should tell you something. Do your research. This is not the school we were recruited to and we have chosen to leave it.n**Amended statement to address CancerMan 3000: At least I have the courage of using my own name. Furthermore, I based my review on facts and instances that actually happened to my child. I assure you I am not the only person with these experiences. If a family is considering enrolling their student, I encourage you to do as I stated previously which is do the research. Go beyond what you are told in a tour. I was not a complaining parent. I devoted and donated much of my own personal and professional time to help the school. I engaged others in the community to do the same. I care about my child and paid a lot of money for her to attend the school. It is my duty to question when multiple instances occur, causing alarm. We chose to leave due to the lack of guidance, support and preparation for college for our child. We found a better and much healthier alternative.

We are so very happy to have found this school, after relocating from Europe we were searching for a warm caring environment that would meet our daughters academic needs. The school partners with UK to offer students dual credit college courses, allowing those who excel in certain areas the opportunity to challenge themselves. The staff are wonderful and take the time to understand and meet the individual needs of the students. Can't recommend it enough!
