Carter G. Woodson Academy

From my 3 yr experience there, they show little to no care for the scholars unless they have a gpa of a 3.8 and above. The majority of kids there are immature and have no respect for anybody thats different then themselves. I remember when I was coming to school after being sick for a week and I was sent to displinary guidance for not doing an assignment for english (hints i couldn't) and I told them I couldn't do the work because the teacher wasn't putting directions on canvas, but instead of helping, I had to turn in a paper with no prior knowledge to what it was about. They are good at putting on a show for reporters, the super-intendent, and magazines, but in reality its just a bunch of privileged kids of color that haven't had to go through a struggle once in there lives. I'd reccommend the staff to show care to the students with observation. As the years went on, more and more kids left to go to Leestown, Beaumont, Crawford and etc because that school is a terrible experience unless you are as rich as Bill Gates
