Cocina Azul

This place was recommended by a friend that traveled here for work. Glad we took him up on his recommendation as the food & service were excellent. The place has seating spaced out to keep social distancing & requires everyone to wear masks until seated. The chips were warm, crisp, & delicious. The red sauce was spicy & the green sauce was mild but tasty. Ended up putting some of the red sauce in the green to give it a little zing. The waiter was very busy between all the tables he waited on but still made sure we got the attention we needed. Went with the waiter's recommendation of the walking tacos dinner with 2 of each kind. Great recommendation! It consisted of 6 tacos filled with meat, had a side of guacamole, fresh lettuce & chunks of tomato, 2 sauces (hot & green sauce), plus choice of 2 of 5 sides.

Awesomely clean friend. Great food. Always thought was expensive kept saying when we have extra money we eat there k. A few months of passing by i said. Lets try it. Come to find out reasonably priced plates. Perfect servings. I still need to find out if service dog friendly. Which im sure everything else is beyond wonderful.

Delicious food. Burn your tongue off salsa. Crispy chips. Super friendly service. it's like walking into a family kitchen. Highly recommend. (I was even taking my food home to have a margarita and they were kind enough to give me some ice and a lime cuz I couldn't go to the grocery store. Just super thoughtful.)

I’m visiting town and last night I decided to check out Cocina Azul. I’m glad I did! They’re not doing Dine-in but they do have a small Patio in the parking lot where you can seat and hang out. Food was delicious! I tried their “Green Chile Stew with Steak” and the “Azul Super Tender Carne Adovada Plate”, food was very tasty and authentic. My bartender was very friendly and he helped me pick my best options, he also recommended me a good local beer “Social Hour”. Overall my experience was great, good and fast service, food was delicious and prices were low, friendly atmosphere and helpful staff! Definitely recommend giving Cocina Azul a try if you’re visiting Albuquerque!

The adovada relleno plate is everything I hoped and easily 2 servings
