Camp On the Kentucky

We enjoyed our camping weekend immensely. Beautiful, scenic, and peaceful campground. Friendly and inviting. We'll be back!

This is one of the best campgrounds I have gone to. It is small so you can see your kids playing without hovering and the employees are very friendly. Miss Sue is awesome!

It was quiet and peaceful. Very beautiful place right next to the river. Had a great time besides it being a little chilly at night and early morning lol. But definitely plan on going back when it's warmer!!

The location is a good getaway if you need to unplug, and isn't too far from the local gas station/convenience store. Has a camp store that is pretty well stocked. Staff is friendly. Also, the bathrooms were kept up pretty well as far as cleanliness.nnAt the same time, it doesn't seem incredibly professional; no consistent camp store hours, firewood that wasn't bundled together when purchased (and so how much you got kind of depended on who was helping you out). A dog owned by one of the staff chased my four year old around. Those kinds of things. The grounds also could have been kept up a little better; ruts in a lot of places for rain to pool up, large dangling branch that under the wrong circumstances could be pretty dangerous. Again, that kind of stuff.nnIf you're relaxed about those sorts of things, then I'm sure the place is fine. Nice people, peaceful setting. Could use some improvement though.

I was there this weekend and met some awesome people. I had a situation and without any thought Ms. Sue, John, Red, Mulberry and Kristy all helped out a stranger. I will NEVER forget their kindness and concern for my well-being. And I appreciate the 2 other couples that let me talk with them and their compassion towards me. The Adams and Kayla and Cole. I am very appreciative of the ride back to Georgetown from Mulberry, Kristy, Colin, Jake and Betty. You didn't have to help me, but you did. The campground itself is great, but in my personal experience the staff are top notch. It's a ways back but it is worth the drive. I will be back many many more times. I am so grateful for you guys! Thank you all so much.
