Nice farm to table restaurant. Visited while spending the weekend in Lexington. They have something for everyone vegan and meat eaters. Suited our needs well. Knowledgeable staff.

BE WARNED!!! One of the absolute WORST dining experiences of my life. I never write restaurant reviews but I felt compelled to write one to warn the public. That is how bad the dining experience was here. I came here for brunch with my family (party of 4). We were 1 of 3 tables in the entire restaurant. It took 10min to get water and only 3 of us were served water. Took another 15min to get coffee. After ordering food, it took ~45min for our food to come out. When served our food, 2 of us were served the correct meal, 1 of us was served the wrong meal, 1 of us was not served at all, and 3 shareable items were missing. Additionally, we were served regular wheat bread after telling our server that 2 of us had celiac disease (server came back 10min after serving the bread to get it back & exchange for gluten-free bread after we had already starting eating the regular bread). For about 30min after this, we were offered various meals that were not ours. The server walked around confused asking other tables if they wanted the dishes that came out. We waited another 1hr for the rest of our food, which never came out. Ultimately, we decided to leave before all of our food was served because we had been at the restaurant for over 2hr. When I went to pay, the woman at the cash register had a serious attitude when I told her I wanted to see an itemized bill because we were not served all the food we ordered. The employee then wanted to argue about what food was and was not served. There was never an apology for the horrific dining experience or any offer to comp any of our food that we actually received. BEWARE of this restaurant. The food was forgettable and the employees were highly incompetent & rude.

We love ALFALFA & their staff. Thank you for supporting & working with us on events & booking shows. Alfalfa always welcomes us & treats us like family. Their food is amazing & so is the Merlot. Stop in & support a great local business. You'll find yourself going back again soon.

Great ambience loved the 2 gentlemen signing, very talented. Staff was very friendly, food was fresh and very good quality. Loved our first visit to this wonderful slice of downtown lexington

Three stars because I hate writing bad reviews for local business but my last visit has compelled me to. We (my wife and I) spent a total of 2.5 hours here today. We were sat immediately but for 30 minutes were not asked drinks or asked for our order. When we ordered, we spent another hour and a half waiting for food to come out where my dish was served and another 15 minutes for my wives food to come out. Total of 15 min eating time. I don't know if the staff needs better trained or what, but this was quite an unpleasant visit. They had live music which was nice, but for how long we waited to be acknowledged and waited on was a bit much.
