County Club Restaurant

I came here for the first time last weekend from out-of-town. I'll caveat the rest of the review by saying that the food was excellent. I ordered several menu items and all were top-notch.nnUnfortunately, what turned me off and would honestly keep me from coming here again was the fact that a 20% gratuity was added to my takeout order. That's simply not how gratuity works. I'm not against well-paid employees at all, but if they need to do that, why not just charge a bit more for each dish and pay them better? Gratuity is something that should be left up to the customer and should never be mandatory on a takeout order. If you order online via their partner service, they do the same thing.nnAdvice to the restaurant: Just charger higher prices if you need to. What you're currently doing comes off as sleazy and off-putting. Keep up the good work with the food.

One of the best restaurants in Lexington. The menu always has great options and specials. The brisket is delicious, same with the pulled pork. I love the salad specials they have. This is a dependable place to hit when you want amazing food at a great price.

We passed by this place and decided to give it a try. First the waitstaff were rather unwelcoming; they really don’t seem to like working there and were not to excited about the menu items.nnThe items seemed ok, but only sandwiches. No ability to try a plate with various selections unless one orders a pound of each. The selections didn’t look that great when we saw other orders filled. There were about 12 parties already eating, but the wait to get the food was over 35 minutes.nnWe also noticed a 20% automatic gratuity added. I guess it is needed as the attitude of the workers may make the tipping lower.nnWe left and instead went to the Blue Door Smokehouse- awesome experience and glad we decided to leave. Wouldn’t recommend Country Club nor would I return.

This place is amazing. I was enticed by the smell of the smokers as I walked by. It's gourmet barbecue.nI had the grilled Vietnamese Brussels sprouts, a generously portioned appetizer. They were smoky and complex.nnThe poutine -- double fried, hand-cut white potato fries topped with tender, melty brisket and cheese curds, smothered with a savory brown gravy -- was delicious, and I'll be back for more.nnThe servers here are really nice, too.

Delicious smoked meats. I had the poutine and Cuban sandwich. Both fantastic. Very cool atmosphere- relaxed but nice.
