Caldwell really gets into the festive spirit during the holiday season, putting up more than a million lights on buildings, trees and bridges around the city.nnThis lasts from the weekend before Thanksgiving to the first week of January, and a lot of the fun centers on Indian Creek Plaza.nnIn one corner is a massive singing Christmas tree, while November through February the plaza is home to Idaho’s only ice ribbon, a meandering circuit that is especially pretty illuminated in the evening.nnAfterwards you can warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and go on a horse-drawn carriage ride, while children can meet Santa. Winter Wonderland gets underway with a kick-off market, with food trucks and vendors of all kinds.

I took my dogs out for a walk over at the creek, I love going over there especially when its Christmas Season.....I think its the best and prettiest display with over 1 million lights and other decorations, ..they also have alot of other activities in the spring and summer ....we will all be able to continue to enjoy it if everyone has a good mindset about wearing masks. If the virus circles back on us, we will end up stuck and quarantined at home, and things will continue as they have for over a year.....we are all suffering from cabin fever.....

Loads of lights. Awesome sculptures covered with lights. Great for a date or family outing. Fantastic experience. Lights everywhere.

Great family tradition to head to Caldwell for the Christmas Winter Wonderland lights along Indian Creek. It's all very well done. Carriage ride, hot cocoa, a fire breathing Creek monster. Lots of fun together.

*Yes covid is happening, some people wore masks, others did not it did not sway my decision to not go. And I'm glad I went as you will read why.* I had never been here before and I had no idea what I was missing out on. It made ME feel like a kid at Christmas time. Even driving around to find a parking spot there are beautiful lights to look at which was good because parking can be tricky but if you are familiar with Caldwell, which I am not, then you won't have any problems. There is so much to do here. You can go ice skating, take a horse drawn carriage ride around and tour all the lights so you don't miss anything, they have the cutest shops and vendors if you want coffee or a bite to eat and the lights are absolutely spectacular!!! To be honest ever since my mom passed on Nov 27th 3 years ago, the holiday season was very difficult for me and pretty much hated. Christmas used to be my favorite holiday but losing her, it just caused too much pain to try to enjoy the holiday season. Last night however, seeing all of the beautiful lights lights, families ice skating, children getting their pictures taken with Santa, you could just feel the magic and love of Christmas/Holiday season. It somehow lifted the heavy heavy heart I had and now this year I am actually looking forward to celebrating Christmas with kids and family and nothing had been able to do that until now at Caldwell's Winter Wonderland. So do I think this is worth checking out? See for yourself, you might just get uplifted with the holiday magic also. After the kind of year we've had I think we could all use it..
