Riverpond Campground

Great campground if you’re looking for a safe place for your kids to play in shallow water and to cool off. A couple of tips:n- Bring a water container (drinking water available near camp check in)n- Bring camping chairs to relax in the streamn- You can float the river if you provide your own transportationn- Be careful around some of the Hawthorne Trees, the thorns are largen- No power available at tent sitesn- Porta Potties are within walking distance and well maintainedn- Plan to visit the Starlight Theatre next door!

Small but nice. Only electric hookup, but great well water to use. Quiet except for an occasional loud motorcycle on the road next to campgroud. Nice owners too.

It was a busy weekend, most of the sites were full.nWe were in a larger tent site with a family group.nWe liked the site, several places for tents, good parking, some natural shade. Starlight Mountain Theater is walkable. Bathroom facilities were pit or portable toilets.

Wasn't what I expected for a mountain camping experience it was more desert style. Lots of bushes couple trees. The picnic tables are really worn out.. spots are really close very compacted. Dusty. There's a starlight theater that blasted plays til midnight. So loud and it's right behind campsites.The river is really shallow but felt great on a hot day. The office manager was really helpful and went out of his way to make it possible for a grate over fire so I could cook steak...

Awesome place. The outdoor theater is amazing. If you haven't been there you need to go!
