Anderson Ranch Dam

This place has history and beautiful views abound. Not a far drive from Mountain Home. Its also great for fishing and for scenic rides in the country.

We really enjoy camping here, it would be nice if there were more camping spots along the water. The majority of the camping spots with grills are up above along the roadway. They do keep it very clean, and the road is not bad to drive on. The fishing wasn't too great, at least in the embankment we went to. And it also is a downfall, that you have to Camp along a slant, if you want to be closer to the water.

If ya want a beautiful place to day trip or just need to get some fresh air and views that's close in distance to this is the place. I would recomend a truck or 4x4/AWD. Fishing, hiking, scenic views, a little over an hours drive from Boise.

Extremely beautiful and peaceful. A nice quiet location for camping, fishing, or a day trip. The road leading to the area is gravel and dirt and there are no guard rails. Makes sure you drive safely or check the local weather conditions
