Calamity Campground

This is a good place if you have a small to medium sized camp trailer. Loops A and B are not well suited for tents. Over the last year, coarse gravel was placed over all the tent areas so if you use a tent, bring sturdy stakes, a big hammer, and soft padding.

Extremely loud and busy campground over the weekend during the summer. When we arrived the host had given our reserved campsite away to another group was not helpful in telling us where to go instead. If you have a tent, Loop C is the best part of the campground for you.

It has a fun little 'beach'. You need sandles but the kids really enjoyed it.

Just went here to go fishing, caught a few. Then used the picnic area and roasted some hotdogs and marshmallows. Good day.

Calamity is misnamed. Should have been beautifully serene or slice of paradise. Certainly better than any camping on the dirt roads with the speeding dirt bikes and atvs. Calamity is calm and beautiful
