I've been 3 times, loved every second of it! (Stay to the right at the fork and take the slot canyon trail to the top). This place is a one of a kind. Absolutely spectacular views! Bring your best camera. Cannot wait to go again.
I would like to go but COVID has closed this
Went before covid times- it's great for a day hike! Check out one of the longer hikes and you'll see many cool landscapes, including a couple canyons.
Before finally moving from NJ to NM, I have made about 6 trips to Kasha Katuwe. I was and still am in AWE of the beauty of the rock formations.nNow that I live here there is COVID and I have been waiting and waiting to go back. You never get tired of that place!
There are many places to hike here, but the trail to the top is not for everyone. If you are physically capable of making it, it will be worth it. There are many tighter spaces to manage and steep stairs to climb. As a geologist, this one of my favorite geologic formations to visit. I think any person who enjoys hiking should visit.
