One of the better National Forest campgrounds in the area. Different loops and elevations offer a broad range of options for privacy. Great for both tent camping and glamping, some pull through sites, others spread out flat for tents.nTrees are plentiful.. plenty of places for a hammock or shade. Trail to the Falls and other attractions leave directly from campground. No need to buy wood... The surrounding area is loaded with fallen trees... Only restriction is no chainsaw use within campground. Vault toilets are... Well, vault toilets.nWater available throughout campground near toilets.

We LOVE Jemez. We take my grand dogs. Take the 4 wheelers. Love coffee and breakfast in the mountains. Can not ask for a better camping place. And when we leave, its cleaner than when we got there. Please. Pickup after yourselves and take you're trash with you. Please keep our state clean and safe. Please don't hurt or kill the animals.

just came back from camping. Wow, what a great experience. We stayed at camp spot 10. it was perfect! if you have kids they will love it there. the campground host came by in their golf carts at least once an hour to check on the cleanliness of the sites and bathrooms. never seen cleaner bathrooms. they were super nice and friendly.

It has been a long time since camping, but this campground was perfect! Beautiful scenery no matter the slot, or loop you choose. You have to make a reservation on the recreation.gov website, but they have a super easy app that you can see all the campgrounds, available slots, and pricing. It was simple, clear, and concise, which was greatly appreciated for someone like me who has not camped in many, many years. Anyway, not only were the camp hosts incredibly friendly, they keep the grounds immaculate, and well patrolled! We stayed a few days, and although there isn't running water per say, they do have drinking water spouts so you can fill up your own water jugs, and public toilets that are kinda like a porta-potty, but larger, and they spray them down every morning. It's also close enough to walk/hike to Jemez Falls, and another spring I am unable to remember at the moment. There is no service, or WiFi, but it was honestly so refreshing not to be burdened by technology for a few days. I most definitely will recommend this campground! I'd honestly rate it higher than 5 stars if I could, and we are already planning for our next trip. Can't wait! The National Forest Service, and the rangers are not given enough credit for the incredible work they do, but it is much appreciated from myself, and my family!

30 Jun - 2 July 2020 Nice campground. Much like a lot of other comments...there is very good spacing between campsites. Stayed in Loop 2. Vault toilets are good. Water was available in each loop. Seemed like there were at least 2, if not 3, water spigots in each loop. Site 28 in Loop 2 had a trail head right next to it, so you kind of feel you are walking through that site to get to the trail. Each site has a picnic table and ground level fire ring with a grate on top. Some sites had two picnic tables and some sites also had a pedestal charcoal grill. Fairly good cell phone coverage (Verizon). Was able to make a call and send a photo via text.
