White Rock Overlook

This is a great, easy-to-access overlook. I went a few days after a winter storm and the views were great with all the fresh snow. Lots of parking available, and enough space on the wide, paved trails for people to be able to easily spread out. The viewpoint offers a nice view of a pair of small waterfalls to the west, open plains and buttes to the northeast, and views of the Rio Grande to the south.

Overlook Park is always one of my go to places in White Rock. The natural beauty is stunning. At night you can see stars forever! In the spring and summer you can watch the river below and hear the sounds of little league games and just enjoy the sounds of small town.

Cold as heck. Breath taking views, and good safety rails. At the end of a community development so please drive slow. Enjoy!

A great overlook of the Rio Grande and an amazing view of all the scenery around White Rock. You can see the mountains above Taos and the plateaus of much of the Santa Fe area. Very peaceful and quiet, the only sounds are the far off river and birds. This would be a great place to meditate, hangout, practice music, and take many photos. If you are in Santa Fe or any where near this drive is worth it. The overlook is at the end of Overlook Park within the town of White Rock.

Sweet spot to appreciate the viewsud83dude42y camera wouldn't pick it up but there's waterfalls on the other side in the canyon. Winter isn't the best time to see them, but they are there.
