Crestone Retreat Center

If I could give more stars, I would! My stay at the Crestone Retreat Center exceeded all of my expectations...the people, accommodations, beautiful surroundings, and oh, the food! I stayed for 5 days on a personal silent retreat, and it was absolutely perfect. If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and affordable retreat location, THIS is the place for you. Thank you to Deborah and the rest of the staff who took such good care of me. Already looking forward to my next visit!

The Crestone Retreat Center is truly a dream! It is located in the most beautiful and magestic mountains, the peace and tranquility is wonderful, and the facilities and cabins are cozy and warm, and the vegetarian food is surprisingly delicious. Our favorite part of the facilities is the Dome where the acoustics are outstanding for sound therapy, crystal singing bowls and gongs. Deborah is the best hostess. She is full of love and makes the Retreat the perfect get-away where you can relax, meditate and love yourself. We enjoyed our stay immensely, and wish we could have stayed longer.

WOW, it was fantastic to spend a couple of days here. I had no idea what to expect as this was the first time my friend and I have done anything like this. The staff, the accommodations (we stayed in the yurt), the food, the peacefulness were amazing. Most of all, the ability to unplug and be PRESENT for a few days was a gift I will always treasure. Thank you, Deborah, Blaine and all the other staff members for making us feel so welcome. I will be back!

Came here to check out the place. No prior trip like this before. My friend and me totally enjoyed the experience. Beautiful vistas and surroundings. Facility very clean and comfortable.nLove the library of books to read, the food was fantastic and the staff friendly and accomodating.nFirst time meditating in a group and was very welcoming.nWill be back for rest and peace.

This retreat center has several outstanding attributes. The location is dramatically beautiful, in the mountains of Colorado.nThe center is well organized and features excellent vegetarian food. It’s possible to participate in the zazen meditation , the staff is helpful in introducing elements of the practice.nnThe schedule is adhered to by staff, is not entirely mandatory for guests, but there are rules and procedures which every guest is informed about and expected to adhere to. This is certainly not a typical lodging situation. That is an advantage, as I’m a practitioner interested in learning more about Zen Buddhism.nnAs retreat centers go, this one is certainly comfortable, clean, and convenient, way beyond what I had expected.nnI can strongly recommend a stay at the Zen Mountain Retreat in Crestone.
