We were visiting friends in Ft Garland and chose The Lodge because of it's good reviews. We had a great stay. The rooms are large and very clean. The rooms are unique and not the typical cookie cutter motel room. They have a dorm size refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot in each room. The managers are new and live on-site. They were excellent and very accommodating. They made our stay very comfortable. She even left lollipops for our kids each day. We will stay here again.

I've been coming here for the last couple of years and this is one of two hotels in Fort Garland the other hotel I will not even consider it because of the price. The lodge does take into consideration military service and treats service members and first responders with the utmost respect and dignity. They have great service, great rooms at a very good price. They also have a barbecue area where you can enjoy friends and family and it's nice to just sit out and watch the sun go down. There's an air of camaraderie here where you sit outside of your room and enjoy talking to your neighbors with a very home town feel. the way the rooms are set up or very pleasing very nice to sleep here and there's not a whole lot of noise coming from the room next to you so if you're looking for peace and quiet this is a place to come. As a dog pork and you are within walking distance of the center of town the stores the liquor store the restaurants it's all centrally located. A+++

The lodge motel is gaining a reputation around Fort Garland for having a less than friendly atmosphere. Some of the patrons of the establishment are, how shall I say it, less than drug free and I ain't talking cannabis here folks. I am a local who has stayed in this place several times while building over the last few years. The showers in every room I have ever stayed in was leaking into the wall causing a terrible mold smell. The upkeep and service is 100% sub-par at best.nToo bad, it could be a realy great place if someone cared.

Quaint little place with a homey feel and very friendly staff. Dog friendly and extremely clean with soap, shampoo, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, TV with many satellite channels, menus for local restaurants, Coke machine, rocking chairs, dining table to eat, chairs to sit outside your door and watch the sunset (or smoke), a pet area, a BBQ area, and VERY reasonable rates. And military discount, thank you! We will be sure to stay here again when in this area. A gem of a place!
