Great paths that meander through the woods and then offer a look out over the tree tops to the ocean. My dog loves it, too!

Great views and easy trails

Interesting area, several trails.

This beautiful park is just a few minutes away from downtown and it's 100% worth talking a walk through! There is enough land/woods that you feel far away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. I parked across the street at the school since it was a weekend and I'm not sure where else to park since it looks very limited on the road. I really like the area where it opens up to a clearing and there is a huge rock/cliff. I was able to climb the cliff without any issue but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because it was pretty risky(albeit extremely satisfying).

This place is the most tranquil place you can go in Newport next to the library. It has cleared trails & beautiful scenery. There are other places to relax but this place has few tourist that visit it. If you like the outdoors & perhaps bird watching then this place is for you. Also for your convenience it has a port o john.
