Quick stop. While you are there and some trails to walk around as well. Make you wonder why was the spot saved? Also the picture of the signs are good quality the signs have gotten bad over the years. Worth the visit if you in the area.

Lots of history here

These are some great glacial grooves and I was immensely satisfied with my experience when I went here. I parked in the parking lot by the grooves, got out of my golf cart and walked around the grooves. The grooves are fenced off to prevent people from walking on them because that causes erosion. However, you can walk around the entire section of glacial grooves, which is pretty cool. I walked around the entirety of the glacial groove field, which looked very nice. The trail that goes around the grooves is well maintained and smooth, which I like. These glacial grooves are actually the largest glacial grooves in THE ENTIRE WORLD, which is pretty cool. I gave these glacial grooves five stars because they look nice and are the largest glacial grooves IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.

Absolutely fantastic experience. The plaques are informative and detailed. The space is fenced in and inaccessible for the preservation of this piece of history. There is a ramp for wheelchair accessibility. This is a swell place to take the kids for a science or history lesson. The grooves are sizable and parking is adequate. There are small hiking trails nearby that take you down into the valley over the lookout. You can see where the lime mines were blasted out creating the sharp cliff like land structure.

One of the coolest, and most impressive signs of what nature can do during the great ice age. A large glacier covering most of Northern part of the continent. Moving slowly across different land masses. Creating lakes, mountains and valleys.nnThis example of what can be done to limestone is incredible. Many of these rock formations where quarried for many uses. Many times used to build homes on the Island.
