This is a neat place to stop and visit if you are at Kelleys Island. The Rock has carvings on top of it from Native Americans. Unfortunately it has been worn down from weathering, but now there is a cover on it to help prevent future damage. There is not a ton to see here but it is kind of cool. You can also find shells and Beach Glass at the little area below the rock.

This rock has been in the same place for centuries. The Indians carved the top and there are pictures of what it used to look like. Now the carving is worn but you can still see it. A roof was built over it in modern times but it also has weathered. A good stop for historical buffs.

I was so happy to finally get the visit this historic landmark. However I was disappointed to find that the petroglyphs have been mostly eroded away. Some petroglyphs could be made out faintly. I am so sad that the preservation of this history has not been taken very seriously. Surly it is a fine example of Native American culture slipping away from us. The building around the inscription rock is very exposed to the outside elements. I was grateful to see the plaque had the original petroglyphs drawn out.

I was glad to see it, but really you're just looking at the plaque because the inscriptions are basically eroded away off the rock.
