Zofnass Family Preserve

Great easy hiking, boulders, marshes you can walk through, an arboretum. Most trails are well marked with interesting signs along the way. Not heavily traveled which is nice. Parking is a little rough. Best probably atnApril and fall.

I actually find this up there with the Lemon Squeeze in New Paltz and better than Bear Mountain...however I hike alone often and both times (twice) I got a little turned around, signage could definitely be better, doesn’t deter me just spent an extra 20 minutes in the woods. Thought I was still in the roundabout but was on my way to North Trail, it never tells you this. Another part near East Loop you want to go a certain way to get to South Loop and pasted that because poor signage. Enjoy folks! This is my new fav hiking spot

We thought this would be a short hike, but the Westchester Land Trust has done a fantastic job making this a really fun place to hike. Lots of features and informative signs.

Beautiful walk in the woods. Well maintained and defined trails with maps posted at major junctions. On the other hand, all trails have the same tree markers. While there are some blue paint splotches on the rocks on the south loop, there were many times, even with our own map, when we questioned which trail we had ended up on.

Nice trails. Pretty ingenious bridges and rock trails. Hiking trails vary in length. Longest less than ten miles.
