A good challenge. Take the back trail to access wonderful rock climbing without ropes

A moderately strenuous but quick climb. The final back road to the trailhead is very steep, narrow and rough. Drive carefully or you'll be needing serious suspension work done on your vehicle.nGreat views, fun boulder scrambling , and trail options if you want to go by the pond. About a 90 minute drive from Albany.

A tough hike for beginners but not so hard as to not try. Pick the pond trail if you want something easier. It's still a moderately difficult hike, but the views are amazing.

i love this hike!!!! 10 stars for me. the pond was so beautiful and peaceful. sitting there on a wonderful 75 degree day watching the fish jump was heaven. we took the trail to the left so we came to the pond first and the view of the pond as i got close and close was outstanding. i wouldn't care if the trail was muddy or buggy it was worth every step to see this little slice of heaven. the summit views are icing on the cake. anybody rating this spot less than 5 stars are simply out of the mind. we spent 6 hours on the trail and 2 1/2 hours just at the pond. i didn't want to leave.
