Algonquin Restaurant

A really great place to eat right on the water! The food was absolutely delicious (brie appetizer, shrimp risotto, and filet mignon). The wine was a little pricey. The hostess was really accommodating when we asked to switch to a table closer to the water. The waitress was very timely despite how busy they were.

You will find this Gem, just North of Lake George, NY on Lake Shore Drive in Boltons Landing. Being from NJ I have high expectations of food and drinks wherever I go. The Algonquin didn't disappoint! They have a Brie and fruit appetizer that is absolutely mouth watering. It comes with a personal sized wheel of Brie coated in an Apricot jam, covered with sliced almonds, an assortment of fruit and mini tortillas! Pair this plate with a semi - sweet white or red wine to prepare your palate!

My husband and I ordered take out to bring back to our lake front Air BNB. All I have to say is the food was absolutely DELICIOUS! from the New England clam chowder ( probably the best we have had yet! ) to the tasty house wings, scallops, and perfectly cooked steak! I am a picky eater and I was highly impressed! Definitely will be back before our trip ends!

Great mudslides. Good sandwiches and apps. We went early for dinner to avoid the rush on LDW. Didn’t disappoint. Got a lake front table with only a 5 minute wait (definitely longer during peak time) while they cleaned the table.nnGreat views even if you have to wait for a table. chic’s marina rental returns next door is pretty fun to watch the lines for returns. You can dock here during a rental day too.nnOf the few dock and eat spots we tried, felt most comfortable here.nnHelpful waitstaff too Jackie and Jack. They were just attentive enough. Mudslide was a real treat.

Came for lunch the other day. Was seated promptly and waited for service. Saw a couple sit after us, a gentleman from the restaurant ran up to them and got the drink order, no big deal probably friends. A table of six sits across from us. They promptly get a drink order taken. At this point I mention to the hostess we are still waiting for service (20 minutes at this point). I sit back down and see the first couple receive their appetizer and enjoying their drinks. Then the table of six gets their drinks. At this point (30 minutes in) we get up to leave. The gentleman that attended to the couple asks how our meal was, I state that we never got any service. Didn’t get much of a response, just let us walk alway. Was a regular stop when in the area...
