Ashokan Rail Trail- Boiceville Bridge Trailhead

This is a beautiful trail and easy to negotiate. However, the first mile to mile and a quarter from the Boiceville Bridge trailhead was solid ice yesterday making it difficult without grippers. Beyond that point, it was a mixture of ice and bare spots and it was possible to walk off the trail in the woods. Stunning views of the reservoir and mountains.

One of the best views around. Flat trail, former rail bed so an easy walk with great views of mountains and water. Almost don't want to share this review to keep the place to myself

Walked about three miles from the parking area. This part of the trail is covered by a canopy of trees so it's nice and shaded, with clearings every so often where you get a good view of the reservoir. Although it was by no means crowded, everyone was respectful of social distancing and wearing a mask.

Wonderful serene walk/easy hike. Passes by gently flowing rivers/creeks. Highly recommended. Not very packed in late October.

Flat well maintained path , easy walking and great views over the lake anytime of year
